As part of Boston’s 2030 Housing Plan, The Smith 99 is part of Harrison Albany Block development, a proposed mixed development project that consists of approx. 710,000 square feet of new and renovated building area, including construction of 2 mixed-use buildings. The scope consists of approximately 650 residential units, up to 650 off-street parking spaces, and retail/office space.

CBT Lifestyle team was hired to design the Amenity Space & Residential units of The Smith 99, which is the second building phase of the development. Inspired by the rich craftsmanship culture of South End and a unifying concept of “one family, two siblings,” The Smith 99 opts for a more celebratory & sophisticated approach of rawness, while maintaining the overall edginess and unexpected merging of different materials & making techniques.
